One of the major concerns arising from the deforestation of the amazon rainforest in Brazil is the global effect it has on climatic change.

Since 1970, over 600,000 sq. kilometres (230,000sq miles) has been destroyed as a result of deforestation and the clearing of land for farming.

As a result of population growth in the South American continent, the amazon rainforest is slowly but surely being destroyed. this can and will lead to many effects in the future such as climate change which I’m referring to global warming...the carbon emissions will only grow larger when trees are cut down which can also lead to less oxygen being produced (since plants have the ability to convert carbon dioxide into oxygen).

Climate isn't the only effect that will occur in the amazon, countless numbers of species are killed every day or are left homeless and with no trees for shelter/food, they become easy prey. The loss of one species in the amazon will have a domino effect and lead to the endangerment and even the extinction of other species. For example; without an ecosystem, the biology won't be able to survive and vice versa.

Exploitation of the Amazon rainforest has removed the virginity of the tropical rainforest. What was once a luscious land of green has been cleared for human purposes such as farmlands, houses and logging businesses. This misuse of land has, unfortunately, created bad effects on the Amazon ecosystem.

The effects on the climate have caused higher temperatures meaning less evapotranspiration and overall, less rainfall. Due to these higher temperatures the humus layer decomposes faster than it forms and the removal of trees leaves no litter to form the humus layer. This means that the soil will be less fertile as there is no decomposition from dead leaves and branches. For the relief, one storm can remove 185 tonnes per hectare due to the fact that there are no trees or plants to help protect the land. Also silt from the storm causes high turbidity of water causing the death of many fish species. The effects on the vegetation leave little wind for the spreading of seeds in order for more plants to grow. Also as a result of felled trees a, high solar radiation has caused the soil to become hot and dry and high levels of evapotranspiration.

This has also meant the loss of 1986 plants, 502 species and the maximum of 4 of any species per hectare. This can also cause the destruction of whole species, difficult conditions for germination, the process in which plants emerge from a seed and begin growth, the destruction of ants or rodents which are responsible for moving 9 out of 11 seeds for regrowth of plants and the loss of the rainforest itself if the exploitation of the rainforest continues.

The effects exploitation had on the Amazon Rainforest has caused damage to the ecosystem. The four elements (climates, soil, relief and vegetation) are being destroyed from once starting as a virgin forest, to deforestation and clearing of land. Due to the rainforest being felled, the climates temperatures are increasing. Also less evapo-transpiration, meaning less rainfall. At least half the rainfall is occurring from evapo-transpiration. The effects on the soil that deforestation has meant, higher temperatures are making the humus decompose faster than it is being formed. In addition, with the forest being felled, there’s no litter to form the humus layer (e.g. fallen leaves and branches). The relief is being destroyed by the clearing of land and now one storm is able to remove at least 185 tonnes per hectare of land. With the trees being felled there are no roots to stabilise the ground from moving. Silt causes high turbitity of water and increasing the number of deaths of fish. Consequently, the vegetation in the Amazon Rainforest is another element that had effected by deforestation. It is causing little winds to spread the seeds out in order for them to disperse and grow. Furthermore, with the virgin forest now being cleared, has increased higher solar-radiation and also higher evapo-transpiration; making the soil dry and hot. The effects on this once virgin forest, has made things worse for the four elements but good use for human activities.

The amazon had a forest called the virgin forest which means it has not been touched, but when it was deforested by people to make more houses, big mall and farms to put their animals in. This has affected the ecosystem. Firstly the climate in the virgin forest was high due to the deforestation and the less evapotranspiration occurs which makes less rainfall. The second is the soil which the temperature is high which makes the hums decomposes faster than forms. The third one is the relief which one storm can remove 185 tonnes per hectare and causes high turbitiy of water and having dead fish. The last one is the vegetation which little wind spreads and high solar radiation and high evapo-transpiration this cause the ground floor to be dry and to have hot soil.

In the past the Amazon Rainforest used to be what is known as a virgin forest, a forest that has been untouched or tainted by humans and their different perspectives on the land. But that all changed when the Amazon Rainforest was felled, effecting the four main elements that make up an ecosystem.
Due to the felling of the trees in the Amazon Rainforest the climate, one of the four main elements that make up an ecosystem, was affected causing higher temperatures and less evapotranspiration. Evapotranspiration would occur when the forest was heated; therefore because the forest is being felled and cleared there would be no forest to heat. This also leads to less rainfall as half the rainfall was caused by evapotranspiration.
Secondly, the second element – soil, was affected by the felling of trees as there was no litter that was being dropped on the ground that would decompose to form the humus layer. Moreover, because of the high temperatures, the litter that did happen to fall would decompose faster than it would forms meaning there would still be no nutrients in the soil for other plants to grow.
Thirdly, the third element – relief, was affected as one storm can remove 185 tonnes per hectare of land changing the relief’s structure. The silt from the soil will run into the rivers causing a high turbidity of the water which leads to the death of many fish.
Lastly, vegetation – the last element that makes up an ecosystem is affected as there will be little wind to spread the seeds meaning the species will not be able to disperse. The dry, hot soil will also make it difficult for germination to occur. The high solar radiation on the soil will also destroy ants and rodents which will also affect the dispersion of seeds leading to a destruction of whole, entire species.

Deforestation is one of the major effect it the Amazon Rainforest which lead to another concern to Global effect and that has on climate change.

Deforestation in Brazil, 60%-70 % of deforestation in the Amazon results from cattle ranches while the rest mostly results from small-scale subsistence agriculture. Despite the widespread press attention, large-scale farming (i.e. soybeans) currently contributes relatively little to total deforestation in the Amazon been cleared. Logging results in forest degradation but rarely direct deforestation.

Not only has it harmed the forest it also harm other species which lead to Species Endangerment. These species land are being destroyed due to human activities. Their land and homes are destroyed for farming, factories but most of all houses because of the population growth. If this is continue for many years the entire Forest will wipe out

Because of exploitation effects on the Amazon Rainforest have been great. The rainforest itself has begun to experience high levels of deforestation due to the increasing populations in South America this has meant large parts of natural resources have been lost that are important to indigenous people. They have started building in a place that was once called the virgin forest which is very sacred as there are only few places in the world that have not been altered or changed by man. Farmers have made their way in also with cattle ranching where grazing began to occur. When the area is abandoned, the soil and leftover vegetation is left to rot and decompose this destroys the natural vegetation and upsets the process of leaching as there will be less minerals to reach deep down past the humus layer.

The effects of exploitation on the Amazon Rainforest …
The effects of exploitation in the amazon rainforest has declared that the amount of trees and vegetation being destroyed have been great. The Amazon rainforest was once known as the virgin forest untouched and full of luscious green now that has changed and almost half of its Forest have been deforested. Due to the festivities in the amazon rainforest humans have cut down and cleared out most of the land for human resources and human purposes such as houses, farmlands and businesses. Exploitation in the Amazon rainforest has increased throughout the years due to the effects and alternatives on the land and has breached its breaking point. The land has suffered serious amount of carnage and has affected the Amazons ecosystem.
Climate:
The climates are affected and have raised its temperatures which have distinguished that there is less evapotranspiration in the area due to deforestation clearing out trees in the area.
Soil:
The Humus layer have been the main food source for the soil and is suffering from loss of tress , animals and also due to high temperatures that decompose too fast for the humus layer to form.
Vegetation:
With having the number of trees been reduced due to human activities in the area makes it hard for trees to spread seeds to grow more trees. And without any trees the suns radiation will become too hot for trees to grow due to the soil being too hot and too dry.
Relief:
Exploitation on the lands natural landscape will have an effect if there are no trees in the area for example if a storm rained over the amazon, silt would cause high turbidity and fishes will die from this case.

There are four main elements that are affected by the exploitation of the Amazon Basin; climate, soil, relief, and vegetation. In the past the rainforest use to be called the Virgin forest because it had been untouched, no human activity existed there, no sprays, farms, deforestation etc. Now, in the present it is called rainforest felled, deforestation has occurred in the Amazon Basin. There is cattle ranching, slash and burn etc. Then it leads to the four elements being affected. For the climate there are high temperatures, less evapotranspiration or less rainfall. For soil the temperature from the sun would be very high and then the humus layer decomposes faster than forms. Also leads to no litter to form humus. However, for relief, when one storm comes it can remove 185 tonnes per hectare. After the silt can cause high turbidity of water and then it leads to, death of fish. Lastly for vegetation there will be little wind to spread seeds, and there would be a high solar radiation, and a high evapotranspiration.
